Loyalty Redeem doesn't prompt on Square for Restaurants

When we had Loyalty with Square POS and a customer was checking out it would prompt them before paying if they had a reward to use. Ever since we switched to Square for Restaurants it no longer notifies the customer of their rewards, prompting them to use it before checking out.

 

I've looked around to see if there's a way to fix this and in all the tutorials and help it tells us to turn on the settings for it, but those screens don't exist on Square for Restaurants.

 

There is no Loyalty setting on the app and everything is enabled on our Dashboard, and yet our customers don't get prompted. They can't redeem their rewards. Please help.

This feature is only available with Square Point of Sale and Square for Retail on the Square Register at this time. It is not yet available for Square for Restaurants.

Thanks for flagging this! I want to make sure your customers can redeem their rewards. I want to clarify, is the option not coming up at all? Or does it appear after they enter their payment information? What Square device are using Square Restaurants on?

It's not coming up at all. After payment it does add their points and gives them a total, but it doesn't give a chance to use it. 

We use Square Restaurants on an Apple Tablet in a Square Stand SPG1-01 hardware version SPG1-01-A firmware version 364102. I have verified that both the Square Restaurants app and the Apple Tablet are all updated.

Please, someone explain to me how Square is the right POS for coffee shops. I initially got Square POS & Loyalty, but I'm wanting to offer drink pickup online and ship coffee bean subscriptions. Also, the modifiers on POS don't work well for syrup flavors, so it was recommended to me to switch to Square Restaurants. Square Restaurants has the conversational modifiers which is nice, but still doesn't make sense for coffee shops with syrup flavors. The modifiers may need their own conversation because I can't make drinks available for pickup until that's figured out, but now that we have Square Restaurants our Loyalty doesn't work. That doesn't make sense to me. I must be confused or missing something because this seems like a severe oversight on Square's part. What combination of software, features, or settings am I missing to make this work right?
