Is there a way for people to sign up to Square Loyalty on their own without making a purchase?

We run pop up sales and I want people to be able to sign up to our rewards through our advertising efforts and come to the pop up sales already a rewards member, is there a way to send them a link to sign up on their own before the sale? Is there anyway to set something like this up?

Would the only way be to manually get their phone number and input their info which feels intrusive and unmanagable.

Unfortunately, the customer has to complete a transaction first (at least that's what I have found here).   As for sending them a link to sign up ahead of time, that's something you could submit as a Feature Request for consideration.  There's no guarantees but, if enough people request the same enhancement, it's possible.   Perhaps some of the other community members have some thoughts.
