I have had a square account for 14 years and have never applied for a loan until this week. I looked at my offer and noticed that I had two loans taken out on my account and am getting no where with square customer support. I am limited on the research of the details of the loan square provides. Square can not show me any documents that show I originated the request, where the funds went, ( site just states to bank account). I have records showing proving that I never received these funds. Any one else this happen to? I'm about to lawyer up.

@aamedrano816 That is definitely an odd situation. I have never heard of this happening at all. A couple of thoughts.
Did you access the loan agreement online? You can find it on your dashboard by going to the loans section, selecting the loan, then clicking on the “…” in the upper right hand corner and selecting Download loan agreement. This will tell you things like the business name on the loan, who the applicant was, etc, but you are right that it is not specific about the bank account the funds went to. It’s very possible that you are seeing loans that were not really yours, but somehow got tied to your account in error.
Secondly, you didn’t say, but I’m assuming that you did not notice money missing from your daily deposits that were used to pay back the funds? I’d assume that you would have noticed something like that immediately, which reinforces my suspicion that you are seeing someone else’s loan who actually paid it. You can also look at the automatic payments in the loan activity, and if the “Previous balance” of those on any date don’t match your actual card sales for that date, that’s even more evidence.
It’s at least a place to start before you panic. And, if you’ve already done all of those, my apologies for the redundant information. I’m just trying to help you get to the bottom of this.
Best of luck, and let me know if you have any other questions that I might be able to answer. Since I’m not Square I don’t have access to your private financial information.
If my answer resolves your issue, please take a minute to mark it as Best Answer. That helps people who find this thread in the future.

Hi chip. Thanks for taking time to respond. I am still researching and didn’t download agreement but will. I did not notice the fees missing as I have fees accumulatively deducted with my daily sales and honestly don’t recheck those regularly to the cent. My error there. The deductions for the small loans would add to much per transaction and easily overlooked to as not to trigger merchant noticing. Loans were $1000 and $2500 so small repay installments for an individual hair business. Thank you for those insights. Will update community when I get a resolve.
