Is there a way to create a MONTHLY service instead of by minutes & hours?

I need to charge for a monthly service.

It's currently not possible to create a service for any duration greater than 24h. This would be a feature request, which you can file on our Ideate Board. 

Can you provide some details about the type of service you wish to offer, so I can try and find a workaround that would work for your business ?

Thank you for the response. I am currently working with a local Company to do custom animal care for their research & development team. There are no itemized costs, just strictly a monthly all inclusive fee for the services and supporting their people as needed.

They asked for an invoice at the beginning of each month for the total amount. I created an invoice outside of Square for their needs. They will be paying by check anyway, so not sure it would help except for tracking purposes. I think this will work for now as it is custom for this Company only, I do not offer this service to everyone.

 Services are best for short bookable services like massages or hairstyling. In your case, I would suggest creating an item instead of a service. You can select the item type as "other", add a detailed description of the service you offer and the price. You'll find more information about item creation in this help article.

Once you've created this item you can create a recurring invoice, set a service date and a recurring schedule. You can learn more about Invoices here.
