Is anyone having issues with their recurring invoices? Mine are not charging clients.
We have our recurring invoices set up twice a month for our members. First batch is on the 1st and second batch on the 15th.
We noticed on December 15th our recurring invoices didn't charge our members, each uncharged invoice stated the following "Card on file was not charged because the customer has opted out of text message updates." I thought perhaps it was a glitch on the Square system since none of our members opted out. However, it happened again on January 1st.
I had to manually charge each member for both billing cycles (which took hours). Was there some kind of update that I missed? Is there anyone else with this same issue?
I changed each member's recurring invoice to receive any communication from us via email. I'm hoping this resolves that issue. If not, does anyone have any insight on this?

I am aware that there have been some changes to how Square Text Messages work. If this continues to happen I would recommend switching the delivery method of your invoices to email or reaching out to our Support team so they can point you in the right direction on how to best proceed here.

Thank you @JJ_ ... I did switch the delivery method of our invoices to email and it seemed to work. However, we had it set up on Text format because not all our members check their emails regularly, so a lot of our invoices go "Not Viewed" for a while. I hope Square changes the text messages back to what they were because our members prefer text over emails.
I also noticed that I can no longer text our members, this is resulting in a lot of miscommunication and unpaid/not viewed invoices.
Hoping the text message format is resolved soon.
