Hello Square community,
I am trying to figure out if there is a way to add numbers to a receipt. We use a two part tear tag with matching serial numbers on both parts of the tag. One tag stays on the product, one tag goes with the customer to the register. When the customer hands the tag to the cashier, historically we have stapled it to the receipt. This is for crews loading the product to make sure the correct customer gets the correct product. Is there a way to add the serial number from the tag to the receipt in leiu of stapling the tag? Long winded I know, but hopefully that explains what I'm looking to do. Thank you in advance.

Hey @JHayes,
With Square, you can add optional notes to items or custom amounts at the time of sale, so you could add the Serial Number in the notes section when the item is purchased, and this note would display on your customer’s receipt.
Feel free to check out the article I’ve linked above for steps on how to add notes at the checkout, and please let me know if you have any other questions! 😊
