Confusion with Estimates to Invoices

When I send an estimate, we ask for 50% to schedule services. I'm wondering, if I make an estimate, which means the actual labor and materials used after the fact could be different from my original estimate and I need to change the final amounts, can I change what I need to in order to reflect total costs? I guess I'm confused because when it asks for when the invoice is due, and I put due upon invoice date, it assumes that invoice date is when I submitted the estimate, which is not the same. Feeling a bit bogged down by the confines of Square already, but hoping we can make this work.

Hi @DCarnahan

As for the dates, What I do is just set the estimated date of when I propose/plan to start on their project and book them for an appointment.

When I am about to send the invoice, I choose the option to Automatically Convert Estimate to Invoice > Save Invoice as draft once accepted.

You will then be able to go in and adjust any items needed on the invoice prior to actually sending it.
