Contract Expiration

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "My customers are calling me stating their contract is about to expire, where is this setting?"

 

I store boats and RV's in Michigan.  Last Fall we used Square contracts for our storage agreements, which worked great until now.  I'm starting to get calls from my customers asking why their storage contract is expiring.  Where is this setting?

I took a look at the Contract setup and didn't see anything about setting a specific duration of time for how long the Contract would be active.

Hi again @eyukins 👋 Our Product Team got back to me quickly on this!

 

This expiration date is referring to the fact that the link to the Contract itself is expiring and we ask that the customer download the Contract they want to keep a copy of the contract.

You, as the Seller, will always have access to the Contract in your Square Dashboard if you need a copy. We just don't want to leave these contract links exposed for longer than 180 days.
