Waitlist for Appointments?

Hi! My business would really benefit from a waitlist feature.

 

Gloss Genius and Vagaro offer this and the way it functions is, if I am back to back with clients for an entire evening, a client can add themselves to the wait list.

 

If there are 10 people on the waitlist, all of them are notified of a cancellation. The first one to reply and snag the appointment has the appointment.

 

This way, I am able to accommodate clients who tried to get in late, I don't lose out on a full revenue appointment (versus a cancellation fee), and it would be a great addition to the customer service aspect of my business.

 

Does anyone else see a need for this as well?

a waitlist feature would be amazing for hair salons

a waitlist feature would also benefit Dog grooming salons. 

Update: Just tried the waitlist beta. Not what I was hoping for. It's just a digital manual waitlist where we still have to go on the tab and message all our waitlist clients. I was hoping for something more automated where I still can work at the same time and not worry about calling or messaging clients that an opening became available.

We came from "resurva" and clients loved the waitlist feature.

 

They just signed up for the day and time frames. If someone cancels, it notifies everyone that signed up in that range. first come first serve. 

 

 

I love the waitlist feature; however, there needs to be a way to decline or approve the customer's request. base on if we have availability or not. Even when we select remove, it does not notify the customer.

The waitlist feature currently available is sort of pointless. It allows people to join the waitlist for hours outside of normal business hours. They'll never get an email for that opening considering we aren't open ourselves... lol

The waitlist feature is online and working for me! It even texts clients when an availability opens up!
