How do I customize my settings for how customers book appointments?

I'm new to Square Appointments and I'm sure this has been brought up. I want customers to be able to see what days I have open for events that I facilitate at their place of business. Although the event will be 4 hours or less, I only want one appointment to be able to get booked per day. I also require a 50% deposit in order to secure the requested date/time. (I do have a grasp on sending invoices thru Square for the payments.) How do I set up on my Square account so customers can see what days I have openings to facilitate their event, and how can they request a calendar date for that event? This is a little different than some appt types since I only want to allow one appointment per day, even though an event/appt might only be from 1-5pm, for example.

To get to your Appointments Settings follow these steps: 

 

  1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard and click Appointments or Payments > Appointments.

  2. Click Settings > Calendar & Booking.

  3. Select the options below to set your preferences.

  4. Once finished, click Save 

Within these settings, you can select where you accept appointments (it sounds like online or over the phone only may work best here). You can also choose whether appointments are automatically accepted or you must approve them. This is also where you would set your appointment limit for each available day. If you are only booking one client per each available day, you would set your appointment limit as 1 per day. 

 

You can check out this Support Article on adjusting your Appointment software settings as well. This gives a great overview of all the settings options for how clients can book appointments. 😃
