Can I double book a client online since I have an assistant?

How may I double book a client since I have an assistant? I am able to do this manually, however, I’d like the availability to show up online. For reference, I do the color and my assistant will wash and style but the appointment time is blocked for the entire service (for me) so I lose the time while my assistant is finishing up for me.

Square Appointments doesn't currently have a built-in feature for online booking that allows double booking or overlapping appointments for team-based workflows. However, here are a couple of workarounds you can consider:

  1. Assigning the Assistant as a Team Member:

    • You can create a separate staff profile for your assistant and assign specific services (like washing and styling) to them. This way, clients can book those services separately while your availability remains open for other appointments.
  2. Customizing Appointment Durations and Gaps:

    • Adjust the service duration to reflect only the portion of the appointment you'll be working directly with the client. This can leave the remaining time available for other bookings, while your assistant handles the rest.
