We really need the ability to block certain clients from scheduling.  No just declining them. There are those finding ways around the decline by utilizing another email address etc. Thank you

This forum doesn't seem to work getting this feature to the proper channels. It for the customer to feel like they are getting some where but they are not. Maybe start to go to twitter and call them out because at this point Square has shown that they are NOT for solo practitioners and their safety! It has been YEARS of this now. YEARS!!! 35 pages of this request up to this point.  Look into GlossGenius for booking if you are a esthetician or massage therapist.

Agreed! This has been one of the features missing. I used to use an online booking system that allowed you to toggle or “turn off” booking ability for that client specifically. I typically don’t have an issue with clients booking online but when they are not a fit with my business anymore and can’t respect my time, it’s necessary. This is a feature that is needed, regardless of no show protection being in place.

Hi all 👋 Apologies for the delayed response here but I have returned with some insight from the Square Appointments Product Team! I'll share what they've told me below:

"We don’t have a specific feature for this yet but it’s on our roadmap this year. H
owever, many of our Appointments Sellers are already enrolled in Risk Manager, and can use the Risk Manager’s “Block payment cards” feature to block buyers from booking if the Seller has prepayment or no-show turned on. Unfortunately, there isn’t a good way to block clients from booking if the Seller doesn’t use prepayment or no-show, but this is on our radar for this year."

Nothing new to report on this at the moment, but it seems to be gaining more interest lately so hopefully we can figure out a way to help with situations like this. 

 

One workaround that you can use would be to switch the Reservation Guarantee in your Appointments Settings to "Business must accept or decline all appointment requests". 

 

This allows you to have more control over who actually books up time slots on your calendar.

PLEASE PRIORITIZE ADDING A BLOCK CUSTOMER OPTION! NOT JUST BLOCKING THE CREDIT CARD THEY USED TO RESERVE THE APPOINTMENT WITH RISK MANAGEMENT. WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO BLOCK THE CUSTOMER, IT LEAVES SERVICE PROVIDERS AT RISK! 

Yes, I have been with Square for over seven years. I would love to see this feature added, or we could block a certain client from booking.

They come out with new features all the time.  In terms of HTML and coding this is a very simple addition.  I’m not sure why Square is dragging their feet on this,  especially for paying customers.  I’m getting to the point where I’m going to switch.  The fact that I have to approve every appointment is obnoxious.  I pay way too much in fees to not have a simple request fulfilled.  Square,  what is the **bleep** hold up! 

@Russell can you explain why square is hesitant to add this extremely simple feature? I pay a lot in fees,  it’s such a simple feature to put into place.  

I would like a detailed explanation as to why our requests are not being taken into consideration and why is it that I have been begging for over two years for this? 

 

I know Varagro and other booking sites can add this simple feature just not sure why Square isn’t able too 

I literally have a stalker and he’s abusing the privilege of the website to book sessions we have to create a block ban button asap!! Please help! 

The same for me - as a massage therapist, I am faced with threats of this nature on a regular basis and a block or booking prevention feature for specific accounts is a necessary tool that so many service providers need.

Same here (massage therapist) hopefully they do something soon!! 

I have girls who intentionally go on and book and appointment with a debit card that has no money on it and will purposely no show and when I tried to charge her for the appointment it says it’s declined! 

It has been 6 YEARS since the first Online Appointment Booking filter request was submitted.

Can you PLEASE EXPEDITE this request!!! Square started charging a monthly fee ON TOP of the processing fee mid year 2022. 

Why has this filter feature not been implemented? We’re paying more for the Square Appointment App than Vagaro and THEY HAVE the requested booking filters!
