On June 25, 2024, the Seller Community joined forces with the Square for Restaurants crew for a webinar dedicated to all the foodies and beverage connoisseurs out there, showing off how to make the most of Square for Restaurants, topped off with a live Q&A!
We were delighted to feature @abbeyc as she put her eight years of experience with Square as a Food & Beverage product specialist to good use. The main focus of the event covered the key differences between Square Point of Sale and Square for Restaurants, a demonstration of the app and online Square Dashboard, and finally an onboarding walkthrough for Square for Restaurants.
A taste of just some of the items we brought to the table
🥗 For starters, we covered the following features of the Square for Restaurants App on iPad:
- Team Management:seamless transition of logins without additional steps.
- Menu Management: differentiation between menus and page names, remote menu management, redesign with images, and 86ing items.
- Check Management: actions and guest tabs that sync with Loyalty.
- Orders: item modifiers and online orders.
- Additional Features: floorplans, shift reports, live sales, end-of-day processes, and in-app reporting.
🍝 For the second course, we covered the following within the online Square Dashboard:
- Menus:building a new menu, copying over the existing items, archiving items, and creating display groups.
- Device Management: settings walkthrough and device codes.
- Reports: additional reports available exclusively with Restaurants Plus.
- Additional Features: Square KDS, kiosk, and beta features.
