End Drawer Report Nightmare CORRECTION/EDIT not possible????

Why is it NOT POSSIBLE to make and edit to the cash drawer that was closed by mistake with the wrong cash total!!!

 

This is an accounting nightmare.

 

Please advise.

Perhaps we could have a feature that only allows an administrator to make changes to the closed drawer so a user cannot just make random adjustments. Curtis Baker

Hey there @MobileIceStand, @RHatch is correct that it is not possible to edit the starting amount at the end of the day. 

I moved your post to this thread where other sellers asked this question as well. 

The only way so far to fix a starting cash issue (ex you started the day with $100 and forgot you left 50.00 in from yesterday) would be to do a paid in for the 50. and record the reason as xxx left in cash register from night before. That would add the 50. to your cash drawer. 

Do the opposite if cash was short.

I have the opposite need. I need to change a cash drawer actual that was closed. Is there a way to do that?

Once a cash drawer report has been closed, there isn't a way to make changes or edits unfortunately. I don't have any updates or news on this feature, but a few other sellers had similar requests, so I'll pass this along to the right team and hopefully we can figure out a way to help with this.

@cmoto It's not possible to edit the cash drawer report I'm afraid -- take a look at EJ's Best Answer in this thread and the workaround suggested by VanKalkerFarms on page 1

The drawer history was completed.  Some of the money was left in the safe and NOT entered as Paid/Out.  It is over three weeks when this money was found.  What is the best way to account for this previous deposit?

I've added your post to this thread where other sellers have asked a similar question. As EJ mentions in the Best Answer there isn't a way to go back and edit a Cash Drawer report I'm afraid.

 

You can also take a look through pages 1 and page 2 where other sellers have shared workarounds. I hope these help!

Previous days paid outs were entered incorrectly.  I can not find a way to edit them.  Can anyone give any insight?  Thanks
