The ability to customize the email notifications is great, however the sms notification is very limited. Allowing customization, if possible, would be a welcome upgrade.

@nailsbyjlyn @Kenzi Right now you can only edit the email confirmations for Square Appointment and we're tracking the request to be able to edit text messages too! We'll share any updates in this thread.

 

@Kenzi You can change the cut-off time that a client can cancel an Appointment from the Calendar & Booking section of your Appointments Dashboard: 

  1. Scroll down to Online Scheduling.
  2. Click on the dropdown menu below Cut-off time for allowing clients to cancel or reschedule > choose a new time.
  3. Click Save.

tknash: I’m a psychotherapist in private practice. Just wanted to say that I’ve been doing remote sessions by phone, Facetime, and lately I’ve been using Messenger, also. (I’m the last person on the planet to have not mastered Zoom!!)  I am curious about what feature(s) of Square you are using— Appointment Reminders?? Booking Appointments?? I hope you get it figured out soon.

I am also looking to personalize the communication reminder texts being sent to customers. Many try to respond to the text (instead of my business line) only to be given the standard response that it does not accept texts back. My clients have found this rude and I am appologizing constantly. It would be awesome if we could personalize the confirmation text (with instructions on how to use the link to confirm/cancel and where to call if they need to reschedule). Maybe it would be even better if the number that the system is texting from was not visible to the guest (only the salon name). Many ask how many salon lines I own. 😬

I definately need appointment texts to be customized. I confirm all my appointments via text and need to include COVID information and option to confirm the reminder text.

This really does need to be addressed.  Most of my clients communicate through text message, not email.  I would like to customize the confirmation text seeing that I’m having issues with no show clients (who are confirming btw) and I need them to see the cancellation policy in the text message.

Just to be clear - you want to send those option emails? Please try customizing them - then they should send to customers! 

I'm trying to find a phone number to call Square support but it just keeps telling me to use the square assist and ask to speak to a rep. When I do that it says it doesn't understand my question. 

 

I need to know if there is a way to have clients check in when they arrive at my salon and then receive an automated text back with Covid protocol instructions. 

 

I hate that they don't make it easy to get live support.

 

Please help!
