The ability to customize the email notifications is great, however the sms notification is very limited. Allowing customization, if possible, would be a welcome upgrade.

@nailsbyjlyn @Kenzi Right now you can only edit the email confirmations for Square Appointment and we're tracking the request to be able to edit text messages too! We'll share any updates in this thread.

 

@Kenzi You can change the cut-off time that a client can cancel an Appointment from the Calendar & Booking section of your Appointments Dashboard: 

  1. Scroll down to Online Scheduling.
  2. Click on the dropdown menu below Cut-off time for allowing clients to cancel or reschedule > choose a new time.
  3. Click Save.

Text message notifications cannot be customized at this time. Sorry about that! Only email communications can be edited. We're tracking this feature request in the thread I've moved your post to.

I would like my text reminders to alert customers that some of my prices will be increasing in 2021.  Is there a way to do that?

Is there a way to change appointment reminder text so that clients aren’t receiving them after 10:00pm? My clients are getting them at all hours of the night.

My customers are getting confused, as their confirmations say I will call them, but we meet on Zoom and their is no "virtual meeting" option to check for appointment location. Also, we cannot customize the text content, AND we cannot opt out of the initial text appointment notifications. So the first communication is a text confirmation, which says "we will message you," but doesn't say "by email" (since at this point I have opted out of text notifications as much as possible) (since I can't customize - or even SEE - what it will say) so the customer doesn't know to check their email from that point forward. Thanks.

Just chiming in that I would love to be able to customize text messages. The majority of my clients use text and NOT email. 

This is to change the emails. I need to change the verbiage in the text message they receive. Mine says wash your hair before you come and I am now in a full service salon so that is not the case. It is providing new clients inaccurate information.

Has it happened yet?  can we edit the text message notifications? ...customize the same as we do with the emails?  If not it really needs to. If we can customize the email, and add notes when we change the appointments or cancel, then we should be able to do it in a text right?. Especially because most people want to text. thanks.
