Is there a way to create Appointment categories?

Is there an option to create categories in Appointments? I have a rather long list of services and don't like that my clients have to scroll through everything to get to what they want. If not, is it a feature coming soon?

So, there is a way to do this, but it requires embedding the list on your own website. 

In appointments, under online booking, website embed: 

"View Advanced Options" button

"Create New Widget for [your company name]"

Give this widget a name - location, day of the week, etc. Whatever will help you know what is in the list.

You can select what staff are able to be booked - so you could limit it per location

You can select which services are to be included

Save

Now you will see the widget in the "Saved Custom Widget" list.

Click view the online booking page will open displaying only the staff and services you selected. 

You can copy the link URL and either send it to clients, make a link on your business website, or embed the entire widget into your site. You can even embed several widget on the same page of your website to split up categories, dates/days, location, staff, etc, keeping all services on one page, just organized by categories. Or you can devote seperate pages to specific items/staff/etc. I created a google sites (in google drive) website to try this out. works beautifully with a google site. I haven't tried it with any other site yet.  It molds right into your webpage and keeps viewers on your site and not moving to the appointments page and missing all the other content on your website.

I hope this helps those that are really struggling with the need to have this all categorized and organized better. If you have any questions about what I've done here, please ask.

I see how that would be super useful, especially when you have a wide range of services offered under one roof. We don't have that option right now but we'll announce any updates as soon as they're available.

Can I add categories to my booking website? I have a large amount of services but it is a long list instead of categories like other websites.

This request has been out since 2016! Literally taking forever for a small tweak, honestly this feature has a large impact on so many businesses. Not having this feature is making me want to switch booking websites and I am sure many other users feel the same. If anyone has a better appointment booking website let me know because this has been bothering me for so long.

I wish I could arrange my appointments menu so that clients can click the type of treatment and then see the options, vs scrolling through the entire list of items. It sucks! I want them to be able to click “anti aging” and then see the different options. Or “acne” and then see those types. Instead, they have to scroll through every single thing with it all mashed together. 😞

Hello! 

Is there a way to set up my online booking at my barbershop to allow customers to select their service online first, then select their provider (including an option for any provider), and then select a time? It may be important to note that we have 6 barbers who all provide the same services but at different price points as well. Currently our services page has an overwhelming list of services as each service is listed for each barber and there also isn’t an option to pick first available by service

Ok. This is what I was able to do that seems to be working as a pretty darn good work around. Under my services I created a new service with a generic name i.e. Classic Haircut. Once I created this new service I created individual variations for each of the barbers in my shop that performs that service which allowed me to put in a new duration and price for each barber. Make sure only the barber that performs that service is assigned to that variation of course. Now when a customer goes on to our website our services page is much cleaner. Each service is listed and when you hit book now a drop down appears for you to select the barber you wish to book with and from their that barber’s individual calendar comes up. There still isn’t a way to do first available from what I can see but this definitely cleaned up the services page on our website and we’ve already received compliments from our clients since they no longer have to scroll through a huge list of each provider and their services.
