Thanks for adding this feature, but I agree with TomLittle above.  The feature is not usable until there is a way to reduce the inventory on CREATION of the invoice.

 

The whole point of having inventory tracking is to know how much you have left to sell.  You can't have an accurate idea if inventory that is actually "sold" is still included in the "available" category.

 

Please complete this functionality ASAP.

It's a money grab it's never going to happen it hasn't happened in all these years and years and years. we know it works in other systems.  Square wants the invoice to be paid, so they get their cut, which is fine but give us the ability to take it out of inventory.  You're biting off your nose to spite your face.

So you mean to tell me that Square did all this work on INVOICES and didn't work on the Invoicing and Inventory issue with people SCREAMING FOR YEARS to have inventory reduced after invoice is created.  You have got to be kidding me.  I've been patient, but have had enough.  GET SOMEONE THAT CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!!  THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE AT THIS POINT.  PRETTY MUCH STUPIDITY.  Adding all the fluff that we don't need is crazy.  WE NEED THIS INVOICE ABILITY NOW!!!!!!   Get the word to anyone and everyone.  Post their emails so we can bombard them directly.  I feel our voices are NOT BEING HEARD!!!  We want answers.

Items added to invoices won't decrement inventory until the invoice is paid, not when it's created. From Dashboard, make to enable Inventory Management for Invoices within Items > Settings so stock amounts reflect accurately with each Invoice sale.

OMG SO MUCH THIS.

 

Additionally, I have a rather large invoice that has been half paid and the inventory is STILL showing as in-stock. This would just be annoying, but since we've got an online store as well, it means we could potentially sell dozens on items online that we don't actually have in stock. This is something that should absolutely be fixed.

Four years later and we still don't have it? This messed up a few orders for me this week, creating negative numbers in my inventory count and screwing up online orders. Please, please fix this!

I entered my inventory items and issued an invoice. I expected my stock to be reduced by the items invoiced. Did I do something wrong?

Hey @Vickee  - inventory depletes on when an invoice is paid, not when it's sent. Make sure to enable Invoices Inventory Management in Dashboard under Items > Settings > Inventory

Yes we have been asking for this feature for 4 years now.  I was just notified by SHOPVENTORY - they have added this feature and am seriously considering changing.  For shopventory - you create an invoice and you can indicate FULFILLED and inventory is adjusted, then the person can pay the invoice whenever and inventory is correct!!  If the invoice is deleted the item goes back into inventory!  This is SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN REQUESTED for 4+ years please please please - we need this.

This is needed. The bad part is that we would not have known prior to getting our inventory all up and running on Square.  Now that all the hard work is done, it's about to be undone due to this lack of an important feature.  How are we supposed to order new stock without current on hands?  NET30 is nothing new, it would be appropriate if Square would inform business that their platform doesn't work well for NET30 business before the business goes all in with them and gets to find out that feature requests are 4 years old and no hope in sight for implementation.  If you don't plan to make a change soon, like within a few months, would you please give everyone waiting a heads up, I guess it's not too late for me to find a better inventory solution.

My business runs on multiple platforms, with both unique and non-unique items - running online through weebly, but also face to face and with orders through fb messages paid by bank tfer or on pickup as plenty of people dont want to pay via the website. What can we do?! It’s not caused anything disastrous yet, but any minute now it will. Is the answer to set up invoices, claim they’re paid with cash, then later refund and put them through properly? The square payments are great, but the inventory management and weebly website have issues and this is #1.
