Feature Request: Schedule classes + group sessions + multiple clients during one time slot

Has anyone successfully used Appointments to schedule classes taught to clients/gneeral public?  Looking for tips. Thanks!

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community. 

The ability to book group sessions or an appointment for multiple people is one of our most popular feature requests. I went ahead and moved your post over to this thread to prevent duplicates.

We do not currently have an ideal workaround to suggest. Square Appointments right now isn't optimized for group classes, events, etc. For your business, I may suggest that you use our Square Online Store instead. You will be able to list items as Events, and then sell tickets to the events per person so they can select a quantity:

We don't currently offer class or group booking with Appointments - certainly a popular request and I know how helpful it would be for you (and many others.) 

For now the only workaround I can suggest would be scheduling overlapping sessions for each client in the group/appointment. However, it's only possible for you to create overlapping appointments manually on your calendar, so this isn't something your customer's could book.

Thanks for your patience while we work to expand the features in our Appointments app. We'll definitely let you if a better solution is available in the future.

Hi, I'm a strength coach and work with multiple clients at a time(2-4). Is there a way to book multiple clients at the same time, I am the only coach there are no other coaches on my staff yet.

 This was question was asked almost 3 years ago.  Has the feature been added yet.  I don't want to use so many different apps to use square.

Adding my voice to this. Square seems on top of their game in so many areas. This lack of functionality is the only thing stopping me from making the move to you guys. This thread was started in April 2016, it took a year and a half to get Devon's repsonse and today its February 2019. Doesn't look like this is a priority at all for Square. Such a shame.

I have a client that books appointments for four people, but the account only shows one person, and she has to keep changing the name. The other issue is on my end when I look at each person’s appointment history it shows nothing expect on the one person’s. It has all the appointments like they were her’s. Is there a way she can have multiple users, and drop down and select which one she wants? She cannot set-up individual accounts because when she tries not to “login” it tells her that her phone number and email already have an account. They are her minor children and her elderly mother, so none of them have phone numbers or emails. Thank you.

This has been requested numerous times in the past 3 years at least, from what I've seen. But being able to use Appointments to schedule classes would surely gain Square a ton of customers.

By "classes & tours", I mean being able to set up a service that can accept multiple people for the same time. Like selling tickets to events.

Unfortunately, none of the apps listed as being compatible with the Square API seem to offer this functionality either. (Unless I'm missing something; please let me know if I have.)

I'm starting to think that there's something fundamental to the way Square Appointments is programmed that makes classes/tours nearly impossible to implement. If true, that'd be a sad consequence of Square's strategy of pumping out a wide variety of services before any of them are feature-rich enough to be ready for prime time... 😞

We are a massage studio and we offer Couple's Massage but Square Appointments doesn't have a feature where clients have to pick 2 therapist when booking couple's massage.   I hope more control and features are added soon or else we might to use a different software for our business.
