Feature Request: Create packages including multiple services via Square Appointments

Feature Request: Create packages including multiple services via Square Appointments

The title of this post has been edited from the original: How to schedule multi packs with Square Appointments?

Hoping to find some help here.  We offer a service that clients can pay for and book appointments online. Great. The problem is that there are discounted packages if multiple treatments are purchased at one time, if this option is chosen, the client is only able to schedule one appointment as opposed to multiple separate appointments for each of the treatments they purchase.  Is there a way to make this work? Thanks in advance.

Re: Create Recurring Invoices in the Square App

Hello @coriumesthetics!

As a workaround you could use recurrning invoices with Square Appointments for a package, and view the number of invoices remaining in the series. However, you can't images to a recurring invoice series, I'm sorry!

Another workaround is to create a single service for package deals you offer but you'd need to track the number of sessions completed manually. You could ask customers to contact you directly for packages, and then schedule each session in the package deal as a separate appointment to ensure clients are charged for each session.

I'm adding your post to this thread where other sellers are interested in using Appointments to create and manage packages. We'll update the status to give you a heads up about any developments on this feature request.

Re: How to schedule multi packs in appointments

Yep! While we don't have a way to automatically apply discounts when customers book more than one service, you can create bundles as individual services. For example if you are a personal trainer, you can list 5 sessions at the discounted price as one appointment.

When your customer comes in for their first appointment, you then can manually book their next, or all upcoming, appointments through your Appointments Dashboard. In your client information section of Dashboard you have the ability to add notes and view past appointments so you can keep track of their remaining appointments even if the schedule one at a time!

Wanted to circle back here as I was able to sync up with a member of the Appointments Team this afternoon. This is definitely still on their radar, though there aren't any developments or a timeline that they can share due to other projects that are currently being worked on.

Just want to add that this is the exact reason I don't use square appts. I need to be able to sell packages as well. I do over 500k in sales each year (not selling packages) and considering using another company. Get with it! So frustrating!

Adding my voice to the growing number of users who desperately want package tracking available on Square. I sell 10-packs of my services at a 40% discount. Previously I had tracked these during checkout - I have a 100% “package” discount that I would apply to each transaction as each service is used. I would then select “other” as payment method and put the number of the service in the notes line. Then, at least I would have a record easily viewable in each client’s file. Well, Square brilliantly took away that feature as well, so now all $0 transactions must be cashed out as “cash,” which doesn’t offer a line for notes. This is terribly unwieldy.

Quite frankly, square’s response to this issue (or lack thereof) makes me regret switching my appointment scheduling over to your service. Sucks, cuz I like almost everything else about your appointment scheduler. But this? This sucks.

I’m following this thread as I would like to be informed if they ever add this, I see it been a while since requested...but as I too have several options for packages. I would like to be included. I’m thinking square is mainly for resterants as I’m always seeing new things added for the restaurant business, which is very sad.

I have a client who likes to buy 5 mssages then redeem them over the next couple months.  Can this be done with square?

I sell the marjority of my services in prepaid packages. Is there a way to set-up as an inventory item if sorts that will  count down as appointments are completed? Thanks!

Prepaid package of sessions

Hi @CPS1, I've added your post to this thread so you can see the Best Answer -- the ability to create or prepay for packaged sessions is currently a feature request.

Just curious what "feature request" really means...? Any update on this and when it will be available? I am at a point in my business that I will have to go with another company if this is not going to be available soon.

I have a spa and I want to offer services at a discounted cost if purchased in a prepaid series. Is there a way to add the series in and have square calculate the cost per service and show how many are left in their series?  Example 6 facials for $500. Regular cost of facial is $110
