Feature Request: Add custom HTML such as hyperlinks and links to Appointment confirmation email

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Add custom HTML to Appointments email confirmations

Hello,

I'd love to include a custom hyperlink to the automatic emails that are sent out with successfully scheduled appointments, using the Appointments service offered by Square. My intention is to refer customers to a page where they can provide additional information about the events I'm offering as services.

Would including an href attribute (or something similar) do the trick or is this functionality not currently possible?

Re: Linking appointments to video conference service, such as zoom.

Hi @jarkin13 ,

For this inquiry, please contact our Appointments Team directly in order to have a specialist look into your case. Feel free to reach them via email here, or by giving them a call Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm PST - but you'll also need your customer code.  The steps to look up your code are here.

Send us a message if you need anything else.

For sure! We'll let you know if there's good news to share 🙂 @EAFC

Just an update - I've given up on Square Appointments. It's promising, but they don't seem to be developing it further, not that I can tell, anyways.

It's not free, but the pro level account of Calendly does everything I want it to, for $12/month. It integrates with Zoom, Google Calendar and much more, text and email reminders, etc. They have a free account as well as a $8/month one, too. Their email customer service has been EXCELLENT.

Sadly, it seems I am winding down my wonderful 12 year relationship with Square. They really changed the game for small businesses like mine and I'm really not happy about leaving Square. I want to continue to support them, but my needs and their services no longer line up. They're better set up for B&M stores as my new Wordpress site and chosen plug-ins do not allow for Square integration. I assume this is Square's doing in trying to urge people to sign up for Squarespace. Squarespace, like Shopify are amazing platforms and a good deal. You can do a lot with them and have no need to pay the $$$ for a developer to code anything for you. But neither of them will work in my case, so Wordpress it is.

@Valentina @ashc Any update on this feature? OP is from 2019. Surely there's some sort of integration by now post-covid?

What a missed opportunity - All the best for your endeavours.
I'm starting out my business but still think this integration should be a focus, especially in the market post-covid 19.
Can we get an update from Square on this?

Seriously, check out Calendly. I spent weeks researching different platforms and Calendly checks all the boxes. One competitor wanted $100 a MONTH for what Calendly does (and Square doesn't) for $12/month ($15/mo if you don't pay for an annual plan). They also have a free account, which IIRC, also includes Zoom integration, but you can't turn off the Calendly branding nor does it allow for text message reminders to customers (email reminders, yes).

Square, I hope you're reading this. I really didn't want to leave you, but you've missed a big boat here!

No update to provide at this time, @JBrazen!

Is there any intention of delivering on this soon?

We don't have a timeline to share, but will be sure to drop an update here if one becomes available @JBrazen.

I have just begun using Square. I was using another appointment app that let me put custom hyperlinks in the emails sent by the program to customers. I used this to link to forms for customers to fill out and also for Zoom or Google Meet links. I'll add my voice to the chorus of people asking Square to please include the ability for users to add custom hyperlinks.

Any progress since this discussion started?
