So my business is mainly an online boutique soI send invoices for items purchased. Can the loyalty program still work via invoices or does it have to be an acutal card swiped?

I thought I wanted Loyalty points on my invoices but I'm actually preferring it not to be.
If someone pays me right away for my product/service they get the points. If they want "terms" where I invoice them for a later date or multiple payments they don't get the points.
It's nice to say "sure I can invoice you and you can make a payment over a period of time but you don't get your loyalty points!" Provides an incentive to pay in full up front.
Unfortunately, Square's Loyalty program does not integrate with Square Invoices. I absolutely see how it would be useful to have that feature on our Square Invoices.
Yes, I'm speaking of loyalty rewards. A customer calls in an order and has a loyalty code to use - I need to be able to apply that loyalty code to an outgoing invoice, so that the customer gets the discount. Once the code is redeemed, it is no longer valid, so should be no problem with duplicate applications of the code at a later date.
If the loyalty code is for a free cupcake or other non-cash reward, they can just wait until they pick up to redeem.
Oh man!!! This is a bummer!! Square! PLEASE add this feature of updating loyalty stars based on paid invoices. It gives me more work when this could be done by the system. Save me time, please!
Did this issue get resolved? I just sent a question to Support asking for help getting my customers both the ability to register/track their loyalty stars via invoice. 99.0 percent of my business is invoices.
Hi @BlessingsandJoy - This currently is a feature request. Unfortunately, I don't have any updates on when Invoices and Loyalty will be integrated. I'll be sure to add your +1 to it though.

Hey @tafilynn! Are you referring to Loyalty rewards? If so, rewards are not redeemable via Invoices and can only be redeemed through in-person payments at this time.
It's not possible to redeem (or earn) Loyalty points with Square Invoices at this time. I will share your request with the Loyalty and Invoices teams, and I've added your post to this thread. That way you'll be notified if this is possible in future!
Is there any update on the Loyalty Program with Invoices? The main reason we moved from QuickBooks to Square was to use that kind of program in addition to other Square marketing tools. This is very furtrating to be honest with you.
