Test Partial Payments in the Invoices Request Deposit Beta

Hey everyone!

 

I’m excited to announce that we’ve rolled out a beta for accepting partial payments with Square Invoices!

 

This new feature will allow you to create a single invoice and track multiple payments on that invoice. This may also be useful for those of you who want to accept a deposit and collect the rest of the amount due later.

 

We know this is a feature many of you have been waiting for, so I hope you’ll help us test it out!

By using partial payments and providing us feedback, you will directly influence and improve the Square Invoices product. So please share your reactions and input.

Great News! Please include instrutions on how to setup an invoice where you are expecting partial payments against it (vs. the Request Deposit method)... This will so helpful to your Square customers.... I plan to use it for ever invoice moving forward once you turn it on for me... Thanks...

Good morning,

      Since the last update in the last week of November **(right after the holiday)**, the invoice in beta and regular app has been a disaster.  What's more frustrating is that I spend a lot of money thinking it would make things easier in my bakery and now I have to add three more steps to a single invoice transactions. 

    I called twice about this problem and twice! I was promise an email or a call back.  It never happened Square up.  Now I truly understand why the app it's only rated 3.5.  It truly should be 3 or 2.5.  The most important feature is the one with the worst problems.  Either take it out and make it another sales transactions with due dates and deposits for partial payments? or cancel that feature completely.  

   * All I am asking is the following:

   * Create an invoice with name (no hasseling my customers for emails, they don't like it)

   * Option to add the deposit---> and be allow to "record Payment" immediately, why get out of the app and to go to the website, log in, go to the dashboard and post it?  (too many steps in a busy business, I lose customers because they are always on the run, It is New York, that's just how we live)

   * After deposit is posted ----> I can't come back to the invoice to settle the balance, I only get the "issue refund" or "cancel invoice".  What happened to the "charge $$$ now" option.  What did they do in the last update? I didn't have any of those problems that they last update fixed.

   * If I am buying a Register, a Printer receipt, a cash drawer all together, I expect to use it all with the Square system.  This is False advertisement.  

 

   I have been waiting 11 days for a response, an email, a resolution.  I will return all of the equipment and file a complaint to BBB.  If the product is not what you have sold it to me for then, I don't need it.

i would be interested. I just made an invoice for a first payment for a painting and will make another invoice for the final payment.
