You may be looking specifically for our newly introduced Deposit Feature for Invoices. This will also allow you to create a single invoice to track multiple payments and reduce the amount of time you have to spend reconciling multiple payments (deposit, follow-up payments) to a single transaction or sale.

@puka Please add me to the list of those willing to do a beta test that @rohini mentioned. I prefer using Square as my only platform but due to the nature of my business my main sale range from $7900-24000 requires almost all my customers to pay a split payment with multiple credit cards or to make several divided payments. I hate using paypal but paid almost $9000 in processing fees to them last year only for the ability to accept partial payments. Looking forward to any updates on this.

I NEED to accept Partial Payments!!! Super disappointed to see it is STILL in the works after several years. I'm curious if this is really on the top priority list in order to keep/gain new clients??

Currently we are working on partial payments for Square Invoices, but we do not have a timeline for when it might be available. You can take a look at the update from our Product Manager @rohini on page 19 of this thread.

We require a 50% deposit on orders. How do i enter a deposit with the invoice without making another invoice to keep accurate track.  They pay the rest of the invoice once the order is complete

 I agree I'm a photographer and take on huge payments. I HATE paypal, but they did get one thing right; partial payments. 

PLEASE make this a feature, I don't want to leave square but creating multiple invoices, especially when a client has no idea what partial payment incriments they want to make, makes it hard to log it all 😞
