item modifiers
Can an item modifier be assigned to a different category than the parent item to which it is attached?
And same with item variations, is there a way to assign item variations to unique categories?
Thanks,
Jeff

Welcome back to the Community, @Jeff_at_Osprey -
The modifiers and variations will stay housed under their parent item, so they cannot have a different category assigned to them.
This would be a Feature Request. I'd be happy to get this to our Product Team in the meantime.
Appreciate your time and feedback on this post.

Thanks so much, I think it would be a good feature. For example, we are using square as our POS at our golf course. We obviously sell rounds of golf, but many golfers like to add a riding cart to their round, but given the current back-end of the SQUARE POS, we cannot set up riding carts as a modifier because they fall into a different product category.
