Why no abililty to enter future purchase orders for new vendors and items not in current stock?

Why do we not have the ability to enter future purchae orders for New vendors and itmes not in our current stock?  It would be great to be able to enter what we have on order and when it arrives be able to quickly transfer to inventory and print labels.  As it currently stands, the purchase order field is only for ordering additional items in stock or running short.  It would be nice to have both options.

I would suggest giving our Square for Retail team a call. They have really great workarounds and suggestions to make things work a bit better for you and your business. While it sounds like some of what you're asking for is a feature request, it may still be helpful to give them a call.

I'd love to have the same feature.

Or even add a column to enter desired inventory count, so I will know exactly how many I should order.

And also, when creating a PO, if I select a vendor, I wish there is a way to see all the items for that vendor, instead of me having to type in the item name.  So that I don't don't miss any items that needed to be ordered. 

The beta stock forecast seems to be very promising with some refining.  Things like if I get to set the forecast length and minimum stock quantity. (instead of forecasting when it will be all sold out to zero, because some items we don't want to let it be completely out)

I don't know if all this made sense, but basically I just want to be able to see all the item for the vendor I'm creating PO for and only that vendor.  Thanks.

Best for me would be, if I select the vendor, list of items only from that vendor will pop up, that look like spread sheet with desired inventory count, current inventory, order quantity. 

When I set the low stock alert and go to report, it shows items below my set low stock alert count, but doesn't show by how many items I'm below the low stock that I have set it at.

And when I type in the item name, it brings up list from all vendors, not just the items for the vendor that I want to order from.  so very confusing when the similar items exist from different vendors.

I really want to just be able to go shop for the inventory we need by looking at dashboard, without having to walk around the store and make shopping list by hand.
