Option for customer to be notified when item is back in stock

Can an option be added for a customer to request an email when an item is back in stock in the online store? Thank you.

The option to remind customers when an item is back in stock hasn't been implemented, but we'll surface your idea to the Product Team. 

 

I couldn't find a thread to join other sellers looking for the same things, so  I moved you to our Feature Request board in the meantime for tracking @spicelife

I agree with @spicelife - a back in stock notification would be very useful for our customers.

With a large numbers of skus (2500+) knowing someone has interest in an item that is out of stock is helpful for our ordering.
