We have a few feature requests from our employees who use the Square Team app:
1. "Remember Me" Box at Login:
We got feedback from our employees that there is no option to quickly sign into the Square Team app, that they need to put in their login credentials every time. It would be great to have a "Remember Me" box under the login window, so they don't have to do this every time.
2. Touch ID:
Going along with the "Remember Me" box feature request above, we do understand that this might not be implemented for security reasons. With that said, most apps allow Touch ID to be enabled to login, instead of inputting credentials every time.
3. Geofence Clock-In/Clock Out Reminder:
Even though we can get on our employees' backs about making sure they clock in and out, it is still up to the employer to fix any timecard issues. So, it would be great to allow employees to enable geofence reminders/push notifications about clocking in and out. For instance, when an employee is at work, they can enable this feature to remind them to clock in once they arrive at the location and again to clock out when the GPS on their phone shows them leaving the location.
4. Overtime Reminders:
With many employers, they do not want their employees to go into overtime, but a lot still do. It would be great for the Team app to send a push notification to the employee letting them know that they have been clocked in for 8 hours and to either clock out or to give them to option to "stay clocked in for...." then maybe have a time option for them to pick when the app should remind them next, like be able to choose options like "15 minutes," "1 hour," etc. This way if the employee forgets to clock out (which some do), it will remind them. Or, if they need to work longer and get approval to go into overtime, they can choose to be reminded. Kind of like putting a "snooze" on the reminder.
Thanks!

Thank you @vannemic! I've shared these requests with the Square Payroll team and transfered your post to the Feature Request board.
If you have any other thoughts about what you'd like added we'd love to hear them!

I'd like to add:
Time off Request
Right now there is no way an employee can request specific dates off. Only general days of the week. It would be a great function for the ability to request dates off through the app so it generates on the schedule. Right now we have to keep requests on a spreadsheet and remember to reference when scheduling.
Group Chat
There is no messaging function. We are currently using Sling and love one place where we can share current promos and notifications.
Create Roles not Assigned to Employees
Currently, the only way to create a new role is to go into an individual's profile and create a new job role, then you have to go into each employee and add the role. I believe, it would make much more sense to have a job role and assign employees to that role vs the other way around.
Google/iCal Calendar Sync for Employees
It would be awesome if employees could automatically sync their Square work schedule to their google calendar or ical.

I would like to see a feature to allow employees to edit their own time cards right in the app. Having to have a manager stop doing important things to edit a timesheet because someone forgot to clock in is costly - I'd much rather the employee just be able to fix their own timesheet for the app.
