We have transitioned to Shopventory to manage our inventory with Square POS - and they have the option of adding images to Categories - but when I asked them why the image was not appearing, they indicated that Square itself does not allow images to be used for Categories... which is a HUGE need for us in the POS. The reason being is that the text used for the "image" part of the category is too small to accommodate full names - and gets cut off. Same with the name field below the "image" area - the name gets cut off. Which when you have items that have the same name - except the end part of the name is what someone would be looking for. Which we cannot do the last part first, because then the same issue happens where everything would start the exact same thing and get cut off... Like Classic Cut $22, Classic Cut + Beard Trim $30, Classic Cut + Straight Shave $40 - etc. So for us if we could set an image to a category, we would just add the category, "Classic Cuts" to the POS and then when you select that button, the products in the category would appear. Adding an image with the text "Classic Cuts" would allow for more easily selected POS transactions.
