syncing products from online store

I have a fully loaded ecommerce store.

I don't see an option to sync FROM my online store to my Square inventory only the option do sync from Square to my online store.

 

Can anyone help with this?

 

FYI I've tred to import my product list into my Square dashboard but it doesn't like the format it's set out in.   Have amended it to Square's liking but now have groups of products instead of individual ones, no product names etc....

I'll be happy to take a look here on my end - can you let me know which eCommerce system you're using at the moment? I can check in with our Partnership team and see how the sync function supposed to work.

 

In regards to importing the item library, here's a handy guide on how to troubleshoot your import file - it might be of help in this case! If you run into a particular error message, let me know and I can investigate it as well.

Hi Tranguyen,

 

I'm using BigCommerce.  I've linked my Square account to it for payment processing.  I've spoken to the help team there and they advised there is a beta option available to import my product list from BigCommerce to Square and I've applied to be a part of the beta team but not sure if it's dependent on location?

OK I have my product list imported using excel instead of CSV file - Only issue now is it has duplicated my stock level for both locations instead of sharing the stock level.  Can I change this?

Also if I select only one location for the products e.g. retail, can I sync the products to my other location for checkout if needed?

Hi @KelliG, thanks for letting me know!

 

In regards to the integration, I'm not too sure of this myself. All functions of the integrations are managed by our partners directly. In this case, the BigCommerce team would be the better one to check with.

 

In regards to the stock levels on Square, stocks are assigned per location so they don't exactly "share". For example, if you have 10 of an item in stock, you'd need to assign 5 each to individual location. You can always update the stock from your Square Dashboard

 

You can definitely assign the item to an additional location anytime! There are two ways of doing this. 

 

1. If you want to assign an individual item only, simply click into that item from your Item Library > click into the blue location link. A pop up will appear and you'll be able to make it available at your second location and choose whether this item will be available at all future locations.

2. If you want to assign all the items from one location to another, you can do this by going to Account & Settings > Business > Locations and click into the location you want. When you scroll down, you'l see an option to Match Item Library from Another Location and be able to select the location you'd like to match with.
