migrating CC tokens off Square
We currently have recurring subscriptions for our users through Square. We are looking to migrate off Square to another credit card platform, but don't want our users to have to re-enter their payment information.
It's my understanding that we can move the public and private credit card tokens to our new processor. Anyone have experience doing this? I'm not getting very much help from my account manager and hoping I can gain some traction here.
Thanks.

Hi @MyCoal - Welcome to The Seller Community, it's always nice to see a new face 😊
Great Question.
After a bit of research, it appears that you can.
This process is called Card Export Request.
Our support team would have to manually submit this request for you.
Square provides the following data to the new payment processor:
- Square Customer Id
- Square Customer Card Id
- Card number
- Card Expiration
- Postal Code
Other customer information is retrievable via Square's API.
Note: it will be responsibility of you as the seller seller or the provider to retrieve it.
We provide the Customer and Card ID for the data to be matched.
To get this process started, contact our support team at your earliest convenience.
Phone support is available Monday - Friday 6 AM - 6 PM PST. The telephone number is (855)700-6000.
I hope this helps.
As always, feel free to stop by The Community with question, concerns and even feature requests. We are more than happy to assist. ✨
