is the Square handheld compatible with the KDS

I have a Square handheld and I'm trying to set it to send order to my KDS screen but can't seem to find the way to do it

Yes, the terminal is definitely compatible with the KDS. I use it on a daily basis this way.

Square KDS handles printing a little differently than a regular printer does. As long as the KDS is logged into the same location as your Terminal and both have an active network connection, the KDS should see all orders as they come in. There is no configuration you need to do on the terminal.

On the KDS you determine which categories you see along with if the KDS sees in-store orders, online orders, or both.
