Welcome to the seller community, @william299, and thanks for your post!
It sounds like you'll be able to set this up by getting a supported ethernet kitchen ticket printer online, and following these steps: Print Order Tickets.

Hope this helps get you in the right direction. Let us know if anything else comes up.

Can you take an order on a tablet and yet go to main cash register and collect the payment for that order? We want the ability to take their order ( we are using KDS) on a mobile tablet, then go to main register and see that order to be able to get payment. I understand how to get the order to display on the KDS kitchen screen but I need it to show up on the main register. We take call in orders and the main register is tied up at the time, so we normally write it down then add it after the main isn’t busy so it will show up ok the saved tickets when the person comes in andneeds to pay.

For your setup, I recommend enabling Open Tickets on all your devices. You can then ring in an order on any device. Instead of closing out the ticket, you’ll hit the Tickets button (which will be right next to the charge button once open tickets is enabled) and save the ticket.
It it takes about a minute for the new ticket to show on any other device, but you’ll be able to reopen the ticket from your main register and close it out to whatever pay,ent type.
Please note: if you’re using employee management, your employees may not be able to see other employees’ tickets. If this is an issue you’ll have to adjust your employee permissions on the dashboard.

Ok, we do have open tickets enabled so we will have to try it from another device. Yes, I am aware of the non sharing of tickets by employees. I hate that other employees cannot see the other employees tickets, but I understand why it’s done that way as well. I don’t want to have employees to have the same permissions as managers and if a manager takes an order then the employees tries to collect the money, the manager has to go up and sign in for that employee to bring up the ticket. Is there a way in permissions to just give them the ability to see all employee tickets without giving them permissions like to refund or see all reports?

Yes. One of the permission settings is “Manage all open tickets.” As long as that is checked, your staff can see all open tickets without a manager override. You don’t have to give them access to anything else.

Hi, @cleo! I'm not sure exactly what kind of app you are looking for as Square and Fresh KDS work together. Can you give me a more detailed example of what you are looking for and I can try to help? Thank you!

I use the Square Stand and 2 kitchen impact printers for my Quick Service Restaurant. My question is if there is a solution to replace the Kitchen Printers with computer screens/Touch Screens, where the tickets can be displayed on a larger screen so it helps with being able to read and also to not have to replace paper/Ribbons all the time.
Thank you,
Root

Hey @Roots19 - I've merged your post with a thread on a similar topic. Check out Tom's answer above for more information about FreshKDS which offers a kitchen display system that integrates with Square.
