[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Square Online Store Marketing]
I have setup a new Square Online store. I am also using Square Marketing. How do I get them to integrate? If people signup on the online store for a subscription, how do they get added to the customer list that is used for marketing e-mail?
thanks,
John

Hey @portillahg.
Sorry for the delay.
That's a really good question. So Square Marketing is more for in-store stuff. If you wanted to create a campaign to get more customers to your in-store location, or collect email addresses, you'd use Square Marketing.
With Weebly's version of Marketing, it's to market/advertise your Online Store. For example, you could send a promotional email for your site detailing a promo code to use at checkout.
Does that make sense? The intent of both is to gain more customers, whether it be in-store or your Online Store. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Sorry I misunderstood you before!

Hey @portillahg-
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.
If you are using Square Online Store powered by Weebly, the customers should be added to your Customer Directory after making an Online Store purchase.
Have they not been added thus far? Let us know.

No, that is not what I meant/asked. I was referring to the "marketing" available in both it seems...
If you click the "hamburger" menu when logged into the Online Store section, the is an item labeled "Marketing". When I select it, then it takes me to a marketing plan/overview page.
This isn't the same as the Square Marketing when I login to the portal/dashboard. I'm signed up for Square Marketing, but the Online Store Marketing has me as a "Free Trial".
What is the difference in the two? I thought I had already signed up for Square Marketing.

Thank you for clarifying.
Any plan to integrate them both? So we have one service and one fee per month... then we can choose if a campaign/e-mail is for in-store or online? Or both?
thanks again,
John

Hey @portillahg.
Yes. Hopefully in the near future. We acquired Weebly somewhat recently, so we're still figuring out how to integrate products that we have overlap with.
So it sounds like you have the Square Marketing one-month free subscription. You can access that here. In the contents of your email campaign, you can mention your Online Store. That would probably be the best way to get exposure to both your Online Store and your actual store.
If you want to use Weebly's Marketing for your Online Store, that would be a separate subscription.

Hi Isabelle,
Are there still choices to upgrade the Weebly marketing plan for the online store marketing? I can't seem to get to the upgrade page anymore after paying for year of the build plan. We have more subscribers than that plan allows but I like the templates/functionality better in the Weebly Marketing interface than the Square Marketing interface for the online shop newsletter. I had been able to upgrade last year after using my trial emails and now it looks like I can't upgrade.
Thank you for any help you may be able to give,
Deanna

Hi! Stepping in for Isabelle here. New Square Online Store users are routed to Square’s marketing tool, but if you have an active Weebly subscription with Promote you will need to reach out to our support team to confirm future upgrades/renewals. You can reach out directly to Customer Success at [Redacted]. Please keep in mind, you will need a customer code to get an advocate on the phone. Here is the link to get that code: squ.re/contactsqsupport

We have multiple lists - one on the weebly side and we also use the Square Marketing... we don't ever use the Weebly marketing even though we have 1000s of contacts in there.. because we have never been able to figure out what the overlap was and we certainly don't want to annoy our customers with multiple emails from different places.
