What is the best way to account for shrinkage?
We have barcodes on all of our products and knowing what we have in stock is a breeze.
But we cannot scan something that is not there?
How can a merchant scan 4000 items and compare them to what the system thinks we have?

There are companies you could hire that perform inventory checks at stores, usually big box stores hire them to handle it and they will literally scan every single item in the store.
I'm not sure without some sort of counting system you'd be able to correctly check your inventory. Maybe you could do a category at a time if you plan to handle the task yourself
