first, I now know what absconding means so thanks for that :-).
I'm assuming that you run their card at check in, because if you don't then obviously there is nothing you can do if they ran away.
I would assume you would be under the same burden of proof when someone files a dispute that we are. You would be set because you would have a copy of their driver's license, an imprint of their card and video of them checking in.
