Good afternoon,
we are a non-profit organization and just received $700 ($675.35 net of outrageous fees) from somewhere.
we are now trying to reconcile accounts and get details on where this money is coming from. Since Square website doesn’t have a way to contact privately for questions like these, I am now sending this to a bunch of people using this ‘blog’.
can you help and contact me directly? I have a transaction number which I won’t share here.
thank you.

Hello @PoeCoTreasurer
All your transaction information is available in the Transactions section of your web dashboard. You'll see the $700 transaction listed, and when you click on that transaction you'll see a breakdown of what was purchased, how it was purchased (online, swiped, etc), the name of the buyer (if they elected to give it to you for in-person transactions, automatically for online transactions), and, at the far bottom of the screen, a breakdown of your fees.
If you do need further assistance, you're right in saying that individual transactions shouldn't be discussed in a community forum like this one. Check out this link to talk to or email Square Support.

Thanks for the info, but not enough info appears on the transaction log to make an informed decision.
Interesting that the only path I found (Or at least proposed to me) to troubleshoot was this forum. How about a contact us link at the bottom of the page?

The reason that this forum is front and center for troubleshooting is because 99% of the questions asked can be answered or the answer found here. If the majority of the questions can be handled before a phone is picked up, it lets the phone/email techs answer the tougher questions that can't be answered here.
Why the phone number is as buried as it is I haven't been able to understand, but that link in my reply above will get you to the help page that has the number on it.
I'm not sure what other information the phone support can give you concerning the transaction since pretty much everything about the transaction is listed on the Transactions page, but definitely reach out to them and they will help.

@PoeCoTreasurer wow even that link I posted takes you a seriously roundabout way to get to a contact number.
Try this link: https://squareup.com/help/us/en/contact . It'll take you down the right path.
