Tip option isn't showing up when customer owes 'zero' amount?

We have members that pay for a service monthly, but then their membership gets credited at the point of service (a zero $ charge is processed by applying a 100% discount at time of checkout). However, for those customers with memberships, the tipping option isn't showing up. Once the "charge $0.00" is processed, the tip page doesn't populate. We need our service providers to be able to accept tips from our service members. Tipping page is working fine for non-members (where they're actually charged at time of service). To be clear: I want them to have a zero$ charge, but then be able to enter a tip amount on their stored card. We're using the Appointments app on an iPhone at the point of service/sale, if that's relevant. Thanks for any advice!
