Square Marketing Email - wildly inflated open rate
I just sent an email through Square Marketing to a small group. Within moments of sending it, I refreshed the page to find that 57 people had opened the message. The list is only 178 people, so this would be remarkable if true.
Upon further investigation, I found that the list of people who had opened the message included myself (at another email I use). I definitely did not receive, let alone open, that email.
It looks like the stats are wrong.
Looking back at a previous Square Marketing email campaign, I had a 63% open rate. As someone who has used other email services for years, I know this can't be right. My usual open rates is around 15%.
Any ideas why this is happening?
