Square Appointments: How do I block out an entire month so clients can't book?

I only accept appointments 2 months ahead. For example I would like the months of March and April to be available for bookings. I would not want customer to be able to see the month of May, since I am not accepting appointments for the month of May yet. How do I do that?

You can update your Appointments settings so that clients can only book an appointment in the next 30 or 60 days:

 

  1. Sign in to your Appointments Dashboard online.
  2. Click Settings > Calendar & Booking.
  3. Scroll down to Online Scheduling > clickon the dropdown menu below Appointments can't be scheduled farther out than.
  4. Select a timeframe and then click Save.

 

For example, in the screenshot above I change this to 60 days so now clients can only view and book appointments in the next 60 days.

Can you change the online booking instead of 30, 60, or 90 increments to just be month by month? I want clients to only book the month of May not May 13 to June 12. The continue rotation of adding a new day to the calendar as each day passes is confusing to clients.

Wouldn’t this option just roll it out every day to the 30-60 days mark? There is not an option to just select a start date and end date to the bookings? Is kinda bothersome that I have to create a personal event for every day I don’t want booked

If you go through the app it will only let you blocked out one day at a time. If you log onto the square website, you can create a personal event on the calendar with a start and end date.

I figured out a workaround. Create a personal event that has all day and block time checked. Have your start date be the first of the month and the end date the last day of the month. This will block out your availability for the month, and when you want to open the month to allow for appointments to be made just delete the personal event.

 

I do standing appointments quarterly and this was the only way I could work out to have only the current quarter available.
