Setting up an event

We are looking to set up a class with the following parameters:

- 4 date options.

- 2 of the dates will be at Location A

- 2 of the dates will be at Location B

- cap of 15 people per date.

- cost is $25.00 per date.

- you can do the class one time, or you can repeat the class by signing up for multiple dates.

- If you sign up for all 4 dates you get a price break and the total cost will be $90.00

Is the above, something that can be set up in Square? I was not able to figure out how to do this.

Hey Literactdr,

Complicated question for sure.  As your suggestion may be possible, not sure if anyone here had gone through this exact scenario.

Yes, it is possible to set up a class with these parameters in Square, using the Square Appointments feature. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Log in to your Square account and go to the Appointments tab.
  2. Click on the "Create a Class" button.
  3. Enter the class details, including the name, description, duration, and location options (Location A and Location B).
  4. Set the capacity for each class to 15 people.
  5. Set the price for each class to $25.00.
  6. Choose the date options for the class, including the four date options that you want to offer.
  7. If you want to offer a price break for signing up for all four dates, you can create a discount code for this option.
  8. Choose any additional settings for the class, such as whether or not participants can book multiple dates at once or cancel and reschedule their appointments.
  9. Save the class and make it available for booking by sharing the link with your clients or embedding the booking widget on your website.

When participants book the class, they can choose which location and date(s) they want to attend, and indicate if they want to sign up for all four dates to receive the price break.   The total cost will be calculated based on the selected dates and location(s), and participants can pay the total amount upfront or pay for each individual date separately.

Just a guess of course based on the data I could find.  No guarantees this is a solution for your question ....

Thanks so much for laying out these steps. I was only able to complete steps 1, 2, 3 and 5, but perhaps this is because I only have the free version. Do you know if 4, 6, 7 and 8 are options only available with paid plans?

Good question for sure ... I can only assume at this point that if you don't have those options available, they are extras.  Hopefully, some others here have some thoughts or how to proceed moving forward.
