Sales Report

An invoice was paid yesterday, but my Sales Report appears in accurate. The invoice payment is not reflected in Gross Sales, but it is reported in net sales. This doesn't make sense.

Hello @bmason thanks for your post. Did you invoice include any discounts, returns, service charges, etc.? Gross and Net sales can be identical if you did not add or incur any discounts or other things that would reduce the full gross amount. If a company does not record sales allowances, sales discounts, or sales returns, there is no difference between gross sales and net sales.

Have your invoices been reported differently in the past?

Thanks for your reply. No, it did not include any discounts, etc. However, I only received a partial payment. Once I received the full payment, it showed up on my report. This is still bizarre to me. Any money received should show up in gross sales.
