SKU field only downloading 8 characters to Square Register

I recently uploaded a set of items from a csv file. When I look at the items in the squareup.com dashboard, they are correct (I have an 11 digit barcode entered for the SKU), but when I look at these same items on my Square Register or the Register app on my phone, they only have the first 8 characters of the barcode. This renders the barcode useless, and I have to manually search for the item in the register.

 

Why are these being limited to 8 characters?

 

I have V 4.46.4 on my Android phone. When I look at the Android market, the version is listed at V 4.5, but when I uninstall and re-install, the version is listed as 4.46.4 in the About page

@FiberDawn - So sorry to hear about the trouble! While I'd love to help sort this out, it will probably be best if you worked directly with a supporter since we can't discuss account specific information over the community. It seems like it might be easier to chat over the phone about it too. 

 

The only thing that comes to mind for me is that if there are any leading zeros in a SKU, they're automatically dropped.

Makes sense. I did find that I just needed to scroll inside the phone app to see the entire number. User error (of course). I also had a problem with leading zeroes that were being dropped prior to the square upload and fixed that too.  So aLloyd-Jones good now. Thanks for your reply!
