We have begged for 8 months that Square either redo how exports display, or simply make it possible to get a report that is item specific (ie show me all the sales of the red tshirt) .
Our business offers presales to customers and we have to know how many of a particular unit/size/color/whatever to make, to have the exact right amount manufactured.
It is virtually impossible to easily find a report that will allow us to pull this information.
If we export sales, we have to individually hunt down the orders, and then delete random rows, because there is a) way too much information and b) the names of the purchaser is not on the product line.
This seems to easy to get a product specific sales report... c'mon!
