Paying PTO and SIck Pay to tipped employees

I need to pay out PTO and Sick Pay at minimum wage to my tipped employees. Is there a way to do this without having to change each of their individual base hourly pay before processing? I change their hourly pay in the offcycle payroll screen but when I go to add the Sick Pay hours it tallies them up using their base pay instead of what I have entered in the column. Help. PLEASE.

I reached out to our Payroll team to ask them about this and they stated you would need to update each employee's base pay, as they pull sick/PTO rate from that field in the employee profile.
