Only 1 person can use our space at a time; Is there a way to tell Square this?
Hey,
I own a recording studio in Uptown Dallas. Our studio only has 1 recording room, but we have several engineers who use Square to book their clients and reserve the space. Is there a way to tell Square this?
Last week we had several double booking and it caused a lot of confusion! If one engineer books a session from 8-10pm, that same time slot would still be bookable for another client online. Please tell me there's a way around this . This might be the deal breaker as it's worse to have to reschedule clients once they've gone through the process to book the best time for them, than it is to just avoid it all together. Please help!

What you are looking to do is a popular Feature Request for our Appointments App, where our sellers can book their resources along with the provider of the service.
Right now the best way to handle this specific issue would be to have a collective Appointments Calendar set up for the Studio (you can make this non-visible to the public). To set this up you can create a new Appointments account, check out more here: http://squ.re/2f8Z4uI
Your engineers can take their individually booked appointments and add it to the studio calendar. This will allow the sound engineer to take his/her individual appointment, check the availability of the recording room, and and reserve the studio to avoid overbooking.
It would be an extra step but one that would keep operations running smoothly for the studio.
In the meantime, we'll be happy to make sure your request for Resource Booking is heard!

Actually yes. Resource booking just completed beta and should be launched in the coming weeks. We'll announce the product update in the Product Updates board when it does - looking at next week for this feature.
You can subscribe to the updates board by clicking the Subscribe to Product Updates in the upper right hand corner of the board so you are notified when this releases.

I am trying to figure out how clients can book online every half hour even though my service duration is an hour. I have two rooms to work out of and it seems that if i have a 10am booked, my clients can't see that 10:30am is available because the 10am goes until 11am. How can i change this? Is it possible? Multi room set up?

Hey @suddengleam- Thanks for posting!
This type of booking is a feature request. But I moved your question to this thread so you can check out a workaround that kellyj gives. Hopefully it works for you.
Give us a shout if any other questions come up!
