On the transfers/deposits, I need to see which client the sales are connected to. Is this possible?
Many of the transfers I get from Square are from a single invoice payment. When I try to get more information on the transfer, I see what the invoice was for, the type of credit card used, timing on the payment, but NOT who paid the invoice. I need to see who the client is associated with the payments that are transferred. Is this possible?

Hey there @BM-lyman -
Welcome to the Community!
To see that information go to the Balance tab on your Dashboard. Then, go to Transfer Report - it will show you all of the transfers for the period of time you selected. Clicking on one of those transfers and scrolling down will show you which payments make up that transfer.
Please let me know if this isn't what you were looking for!

Thanks for your response. What you suggested shows the invoice number but it does not show the customer. I had to start with Balance - Transfer, as you suggested, click on the transfer, scroll down and copy the invoice number, then go to Invoices and search for that invoice number, and click on the invoice to finally get the customer that is connected with the payment for each transfer. It is very cumbersome!

I completely understand. Exporting the transaction list might alleviate some of that. It will list everything in an Excel spreadsheet. Customer information still isn't on there, but it makes it easier to navigate in the meantime.
Adding the ability to view the Customer would be a Feature Request. I would be happy to tag this, so it's directed over to our Product Team.
Thank you for reaching out!

The exported spreadsheet gives the name from the credit card but not the company name.

I scrolled down to see if I could find a name or invoice number but I could not find either. I have at least 5-6 of these that I cannot figure out what client to attach these to.

Are you using your Customer Directory to add a customer to each sale @bakeraln?
If you take advantage of this feature, each transaction will be tied to a customer. Learn more about using this feature in-app here. It sounds like you may have sent invoices after manually entering a new name and email address or phone number, rather than selecting a customer from your Customer Directory.
Feel free to reach out directly by logging into your Square account and heading here if you'd like a member of our team to take a closer look at these transactions with you - to help shine a light on what you're seeing.

Is there a way to see which category each payment pertains to?

I don't know if you're still following this thread, but please upvote my feature request for the same thing.

It's VERY frustrating when all this is is just a programming change on column 2 to change from {Invoice #} {Invoice Title} to {Invoice #} {name}
Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 Column 4
{cc logo} {time} {Invoice #} {name} {amt collected} {net rec'd}
