Need customers to confirm pickup date for pre-order before completing checkout.

Is there a way to have customers be required to confirm their pickup date/time before they hit the checkout button?  If there is a date range set up for pre-order pickup, it defaults to the first day, and is not very user friendly to change the date.  This will create confusion and many mistakes on pickup days for the customer.

I have not had a lot of time to look into the new pre-order feature so I'm not super familiar with the checkout flow. I know the previous pick-up option provided a date selector on the final check-out page, but will need to check-in with the ecom teams to see if this is an option, and where it should show up. 

 

Can you also post a link to your website so I can see the current flow you have setup?

We currently have the ordering online option turned off, but I will turn it on for a day if you would like to check it out.  I have worked on it a bit and the flow is better, but I have noticed that the experience is different on the mobile platform vs. desktop.  

 

What would be really helpful is if the customer orders were organized by event date, so that when they clicked on an event, they were fairly certain already of the date for which they would be ordering, just like buying tickets for a concert date.  However, more confirmation of the date that they are ordering for would also be helpful.

You're welcome! You may have already figured this out, but when I  look at your  website I can clearly see that you have added notes throughout the checkout process. Another option is to add a modifier to the item and require a checkbox. i.e. I have acknowledge the pickup date or event date is XX.

 

You must have just turned off orders, because I was able to make it through the checkout flow once, but then it was disabled again. Ah, I also noticed you mentioned the flow was not as great on mobile. I do not have access to my mobile devices right now but I can take a look soon.
