Need an API for my shopify store

I have an e-commerce store on the shopify platform and an account with Square. 

how do I get a Square API to put in my store so that I can accept credit card payments please?

Hi, I am not a coder nor even a bit techy so wouldn't have a clue about building an app.

It would help me to know if any other square users have managed to integrate any sort of payment api into their shopify store to take CC payments.
