Multiple product images WITHOUT using Square Online Store?

I'm using Square POS for my brick-and-mortar shop, and want to sync Square POS with my WooCommerce online shop. I'm using the WooCommerce Square plugin for this and it seems to work well so far. But I need to add multiple product images, and there doesn't seem to be a way to do this without using Square's online store.

I can see how to do it if I were using Square's online store, but I'm not and have no interest in doing so. Is adding multiple images through POS possible? Or, is this a feature that is available in Square for Retail?

Thank you for any feedback.

You can also build your items straight from the WooCommerce plugin and let it sync back down to Square instead of using Square's item editor and hoping Woo pulls it over correctly. I've had times where changing something woo completely borks the item in Square.

That way you're not inputting the same photo twice, and Woo allows for more in-depth item configuration (sub-modifiers for example).

I'm not using Square for Retail, so I can't help you on that platform unfortunately.

Unless you're planning on having the multiple images available in your retail outlet (which unless Square for Retail allows this, I don't believe there's a way to view multiple images in the Point of Sale), I'd say just go straight to the WooCommerce plugin to add the multiple images.

In your item editor, scroll down to the bottom of the page. In the bottom right there's a spot called Product Gallery. You can add the additional pictures there.

Thanks! Great tip. The only downside for me is that I have hundreds of items, each with a quantity of only one. (We're a vintage shop, selling one-of-a-kind items.) So accessing via two apps isn't ideal, but glad there's a solution for me.

Does anyone else know if Square for Retail allows for multiple product images? It might be worth the upgrade for that feature alone.

Thanks!

Another fantastic tip! Thanks Ryan. I didn't realize I could sync them in the other direction.

I'll give it a try and see how it goes!

Thanks!

Update for folks evaluating this method: Adding to WooCommerce first no longer works very well if your are using the WooCommerce Square plugin to sync products. In order for it to work fully, you have to manage all inventory in Woo, whichever defeats the ease of using Square... Especially difficult if you have lots of frequently changing inventory items.

I’m now on the hunt for a new solution or new plugin... Let me know if you have any tips!

Hey! Thanks for posting about this. Yes, a lot has changed regarding online stores and Square, and I hear the need to have better synchronization between your online store and Square inventory. We now have a direct integration with Weebly, which may interest you as it does integrate your inventory and orders between Square and Weebly. Check it out here: https://squ.re/weeblysetup

Let me know if this a viable option for you!
